CZ Riders at Horseland|PCV Horse Trials Festival 2018

Central Zone was represented by 3 riders: J'Aimee Mallon and Leilani Justice in grade 2 of the champs and LaMoza Velisha, riding 2 horses in the Grade 3 Interzones Teams.

Central Zone was represented by 3 riders at the 2018 PCV Horse Trials Festival.

In Grade 2 were J'aimee Mallon from Macedon riding Irish Gem and Leilani Justice from Melton riding Miss Amity.

Here is J'Aimee heading out to the XC course and her thoughts on the weekend.

I am absolutely thrilled with my super girl Gem.
Yesterday she did a beautiful dressage test to be sitting in 4th position, 5 points behind the leader!!
It then proceeded to rain all night making for a wet, slippery and technical cross country which she powered round to come home clear and under time! Moving us up to 3rd!! Sadly we had two poles down in the SJ costing us the win!

A bit of a disappointing ending to the weekend but I am so happy with how well we went for only being together 6 months!

Time to move up to grade 1 and I couldn’t be more excited

Leilani also started out well, placing 5th in the dressage and clear XC. Unfortunately, Miss Amity wasn't right in the SJ and Leilani retired from the competition.

In the Interzone Teams HT, LaMoza Velisha from Werribee entered on 2 mounts and competed in 2 composite teams.

Moza was in a composite team with PCAV West Gippsland Zone riders on her mount "Kolora Stud Cash", and together the team finished in 2nd place! Well done everyone!

On her other pony "Farleigh Tobermory" they were placed into a composite team with East Gippsland Zone of Pony Clubs riders ~ and together they placed 6th overall! Well done team!

Thanks to Andrea Dunn Photography for the presentation photo

Let's try to find some more CZ riders next year to join LaMoza in a CZ team.
