What to Expect and What is Expected on Rally Days

Welcome to Kyneton and Districts Pony Club

We are a small to medium sized club with excellent grounds and an enthusiastic committee of parents dedicated to making pony club a memorable experience for all young people who attend.  Managed and run solely by volunteers.

In order for our Rallies to run well we require a team effort and have put together a few guidelines around what is expected on Rally Days.

If your horse requires settling time after unloading, please ensure you arrive in time to attend to your horse prior to Set Up at 9.00am.

Rally Day starts with Set Up.

There will be 10 minutes between Sessions to give you time for gear changes where needed.  Please ensure to advise the instructor at your next Session that you have changed gear.

There will be barrows at the arenas for manure collection throughout the day.  Please leave your yards clean of manure, and remove all rubbish from the reserve when leaving. Manure to be placed in the designated area at the front of the wooden yards at the end of the day.

All members need to be signed in by their parent or guardian, the ’sign in’ book is kept in the Clubrooms.

Cards to be left in Clubrooms for signing by Card Secretary for attendance, and will be available for collection after the third session of the day.  Cards will not be available for collection between rally days.

Medical Armbands to be worn on Rally Days.

Out of Bounds Areas/ Non-Riding Areas

No horses are not allowed on or in the Car Club and the Trike and Odyssey Club areas at any time.

No horses to be in area between SJ arena and club rooms / shed. Walking your horse only when moving between Sessions

No Parking of Vehicles, Floats or Riding between the Yards.

It is the expectation of members of our club that we treat each other with respect. This includes Instructors, Members, Parents/Guardians and Horses. If you have any issues with an individual, please quietly approach a Committee Member to discuss and allow your committee to handle the situation.

We would also ask that parents refrain from interfering or instructing their children while a lesson is in progress. This can cause distraction and possible safety issues. Our instructors are experienced in managing groups of children and horses, they need to be able to concentrate on their lesson, to provide an inclusive, safe and positive experience for all.
